background Publikation(1-90…) |
The starting-point for Publikation(1-90…) is simple journals in small editions like fanzines, texts from art shows, smaller art catalogues, manifests, artist books and manuals within the cultural sphere. Forms where the publishers traditionally do the work, print, and distribute the edition themselves. These types of journals are often spread in small circles of people and are not accessible to the public or at the libraries and in archives.
To achieve a greater variety of participants we have chosen a domino like method. We invited people from our network and colleagues in Sweden and abroad, and asked them to pass on the invitation.
One or more artists formed each issue and deal with a diversity of subject matters. We produced Publikation(1-90) in our "digital printing-office", with a color laser printer, a machine for bending and stitching and a cutting machine.
Publikation (1-90) is distributed at www.rollon.net. There you can order single copies and get information about content and the participants.
